European Mobility Week: Cyclers inaugurated a new cycling line

A group of cyclers and supporters of environmentally sustainable means of transportation gathered on Saturday, September 17 at the sports centre Banjica to take part in a cycling ride to mark the opening of the newly furbished cycling line from Banjica to Topciderska Zvezda square. The ride was held on the second day of the European Mobility Week 2016.

From the starting point, the group cycled down the Cronotravska St., Neznanog junaka St., Bulevar Kneza Aleksandra Karadjordjevica, Bulevar Vojvode Putnika, all the way to Topciderska Zvezda.

This European Mobility Week 2016 is held under the slogan Smart and Sustainable Mobility - An Investment for Europe, referring to the close ties between transport and economics. By making our transport systems sustainable, in particular in urban areas, we are making efforts to create sustainable economies and societies in general.

Another chance for cyclers to participate in the European Mobility Week is to take the challenge Samo ne autom and cycle or walk to work.
