    Serbian police officials learn about Croatia’s EU integration experiences

    On 30-31 October 2013, a high-level delegation of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia (MoI) visited their colleagues in Zagreb, with the aim of learning about Croatia’s experience and lessons learned during their eight-year EU accession process, particularly with regards to meeting the requirements for EU membership in the area of the rule of law.

    European Mobility Week 2013

    The European Mobility Week (EMW) was celebrated in Belgrade from 16 to 22 September 2013. EMW is a campaign dedicated to sustainable urban mobility, organized annually with the support of the Directorates-General for the Environment and Transport of the European Commission. This year’s EMW was the third campaign in a raw organized by the “Support to Sustainable Transport in the City of Belgrade”, project implemented by UNDP, Ministry of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection and the City of Belgrade. The theme of the EMW was “Clean Air – It’s Your Move!”

    Human Development Index (HDI) for Serbia continues to increase

    Each year since 1990 the Human Development Report has published the Human Development Index (HDI) which was introduced as an alternative to conventional measures of national development, such as level of income and the rate of economic growth. The HDI represents a push for a broader definition of well-being and provides a composite measure of three basic dimensions of human development: health, education and income.
