Local self-governments invited to participate in the new project

July 10, 2019

The project "Accountable Public Finance Management Platform", implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Serbia and funded by the Government of Sweden, will work on strengthening partnerships between the local self-governments and the civil society organizations (CSOs), by building a more transparent approach to the funding of CSOs from the local self-governments’ budgets, in line with the local needs. In addition, the project will contribute to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) from the 2030 Development Agenda. The Sustainable Development Goals are a universal call for action with the aim to eliminate poverty, protect the environment and secure peace and prosperity for all.

The local self-governments are hereby invited to apply for participation in the project. In total, five (5) local self-governments will be selected to receive support to develop more transparent mechanisms for allocation of funds and financing of CSO projects. The amount of 66.000 USD of donor funds will be earmarked for each local self-government, with mandatory co-funding by the municipality or the town (for more details, please consult the Guidelines).
